Visa types available (retirement / passive income, digital nomad, work, highly-skilled / EU Blue Card, student, family / spouse, investment / golden visa)
Routes: visa-free visits with an eTA (US citizens up to 90 days; UK up to 6 months); an e-visa for nationalities that need one (US$100, about two weeks); student visas (US$150, applied for from abroad); work permits for specialised posts, applied for from outside the country after the job is advertised locally for 3 weeks; and citizenship by investment. No retirement visa was found.

Income / savings thresholds per visa
No income or savings threshold for residence is published. Fees seen: on Nevis, a work permit costs $2,500 for 7 months to a year and annual residence (with work) $1,500 (Nevis Island Administration, 2020). Citizenship by investment starts at US$250,000 (1004).

No visa or permit rule requiring health insurance was found. Canada says providers often want payment up front and serious cases may need evacuation; the US says medical care is not free, even at public facilities, and most providers take cash only — so insurance that covers evacuation is the practical need.
